What is Life Coaching?

Coaching is about creating change that helps enhances performance and learning. Coaches emphasises new competencies, learning and goal attainment. In fact, a coach is a personal navigator for the journey of life, focusing on what the clients want. Everything in coaching hinges on listening with the client’s agenda in mind.

COMENSA defines coaching as “a professional, collaborative and outcomes-driven method of learning that seeks to develop an individual and raise self-awareness so that he or she might achieve specific goals and perform at a more effective level”.

Coaching has been shown to help leaders develop a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities. When leaders are more confident about what they need to do, they are better able to motivate employees and mobilise them for action

LIFE COACHING is a profession that is profoundly different from consulting, mentoring, advice, therapy, or counseling. The coaching process addresses specific personal projects, business successes, general conditions and transitions in the client’s personal life, relationships or profession by examining what is going on right now, discovering what your obstacles or challenges might be, and choosing a course of action to make your life be what you want it to be.

Life coaching is a dynamic process of self-discovery. During this process we work towards forward action that empowers you to create a vision of your life where you will accomplish your highest aspirations.

Our partnership will focus on what you want – even if you don’t yet know exactly what that is! We’ll work together to identify your values and goals, and what you need to live a more fulfilled life. Our ongoing relationship nurtures an atmosphere of support where you can flourish in finding and creating balance, joy and energy in your life.

Support and accountability are the forces that keep the momentum going and help your aspirations become reality! Depending on your goals, you can focus on the big picture or on a specific area.
